Identifying Challenges Faced by Women Entrepreneurs in The Rural Areas in Malaysia using A Nominal Group Technique

Women entrepreneurs play a substantial role in the development of economic activities and quality life among population. People living rural areas still face many potential problems as are always marked place with underdeveloped socioeconomic factors. There is lack network infrastructure, telecommunication services, poverty, capital limitation. This study will identify challenges confronted by women areas. A Focus Group Discussion was established to collect experts’ opinions based on issue. Eight experts businesswomen professionals were invited discuss categorized them using specific themes. Then, themes analyzed Nominal Technique (NGT-plus) software. The result identified six faced percentage all more than 70% showing that agreed valid significant for finding also showed geographical isolation from support networks most challenging theme others. helpful policymakers government plan an appropriate intervention policy assist upgrade infrastructures attract investors long run.
